چکیده

Objective: To compare mean resting pain relief and passive external rotation improvement by Intra-articular Steroid versus intra-articular Platelet Rich Plasma injection in patients with adhesive capsulitis.
 Study Design: Prospective comparative study.
Place Duration of Study: Armed Forces Institute Rehabilitation Medicine, Rawalpindi Pakistan, from Jan to Jun 2019.
Methodology: A total 60 were included the study. Group-A B received 40mg Triamcinolone Acetonide 1 ml 1% Lignocaine platelet-rich plasma injections affected shoulders, respectively. Pain severity was assessed on Numeric Rating Scale, goniometry at baseline, i.e., preintervention, six weeks 12 intervals.
 Results: In our study, NRS scale for 3.030.76 1.230.77 PRP 5.070.87 3.200.89 Corticosteroids post-intervention, p-value <0.001 showing increased efficacy PRP. While 70.275.26 82.304.84 61.35.28 71.806.99 corticosteroids PRP.
Conclusion: There a significant after shoulder joint capsulitis compared Steroids.

Intra-articular injection of hyaluronate versus corticosteroid in adhesive capsulitis.

The goal of this study was to prospectively compare the early clinical results of intra-articular injection of hyaluronate or corticosteroid in patients with idiopathic adhesive capsulitis. The authors' hypothesis was that there would be no difference between groups. Sixty-eight patients with idiopathic adhesive capsulitis were equally randomized to receive either corticosteroid or hyaluronate ...

The effect of intra-articular hyaluronate and tramadol injection on patients with adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder

BACKGROUND Local administration of opioids causes effective analgesia without adverse effects related to the central nervous system. After the beneficial demonstration of peripheral opioid receptors in joint synovia, intra-articular opioid injections were used for pain treatment. Clinical studies have reported the safety and efficacy of hyaluronate injection in the shoulder joint of patients wi...

Intra-articular corticosteroid injection for osteoarthritis

Efficacy Intra-articular corticosteroid injection is quick and simple to carry out and in RCTs it has a large effect size (ES) of 1.27 at 7 days postinjection for pain relief against placebo for knee OA [101]. It produces relatively rapid relief of severe pain within a few hours or days. Although this benefit is relatively short lasting, in RCTs (1–4 weeks), individual patients may derive benef...
